Mongongo

Mongongo trees grow particularly well in the deep sands of the Kalahari Desert and can survive droughts that span years.

Africa Organics use the nut oil in its hair products. It has been traditionally used as a body rub in the dry winter months to clean and moisten the skin by local tribes. 

It contains eleostearic acid that polymerises rapidly under UV light to form a protective film over each hair.
