Kalahari Melon

The Kalahari Melon is an important source of water for the nomadic San people of the Kalahari Desert. It has been used by these people for more than 4000 years. In addition to being a great water source, the San would grind the seed into a paste and use it to protect their skin against the harsh deserts elements, while the pulp mixed with water was used as a sunblock.

The seed of the Kalahari melon consists of approximately 50% oil, 35% protein and 5% dietary fibre. High phytosterol and Omega-6 levels give it strong moisturizing, restructuring and anti-ageing properties.
